Dorset Centre for Rural Skills (DCRS)
is an established, not for profit, training centre based in the north Dorset
between Blandford and Shaftesbury.
The centre runs specialist courses in traditional renovation of buildings
and the use of cob, lime and timber.
DCRS has pioneered modern bale building techniques and runs courses in straw
bale building and understanding
renewable energy.
Courses in rural skills include blacksmithing, hurdle
making and glassblowing.

take place here at the centre in our converted barn. The centre
also boasts a large hall, glassblowing studio, forge and
pottery studio.
