How to use locally sourced, natural materials like clay, lime and milk
to make finishes for low impact decorating.
There will be an introduction to building with earth and the use of
local materials to make paints and plasters. We shall investigate clay,
lime, casein and earth pigments in more depth – where they are
found and why we should use them and how to source, prepare and use them
on different surfaces.
In the practical session, we will mix, colour and apply these materials
to create beautiful, long lasting, earthy finishes.
This course is run by Pam Macdonald of The Natural Decorating Company.
Pam has been a decorator, designer and lecturer for twenty years.
